Although practice certainly doesn't make perfect, it does help immensely. If you value experience in a therapist, please read on. Also, read on if you value commitment and interest in the work and rewards of psychotherapy.
I am Beth L. Fineberg, Ph.D., a psychologist-psychotherapist with over 45 years in practice with clients representing a broad range of ages and problems. Specializing in
depression
,
anxiety
, and
relationships
, I take an integrative approach with a heavy emphasis on
cognitive behavioral and psychoanalytic theories
and techniques that I tailor to the particular needs of my clients.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill granted my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1972. I am licensed in the states of North Carolina and in Indiana, where I have spent most of my professional life. I was employed at the Gallahue Mental Heath Center of Community Hospitals Indianapolis (1973-1999) and have been in private practice since 1985.
I have memberships in the American Psychological Association and in the Indiana Psychological Association. In addition, I am certified by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and am certified as a Health Service Provider in Psychology in Indiana.
My office address is 2020 West 86th Street, Suite 301, which is located in a professional building directly across from St. Vincent Hospital. The building is handicap accessible. Parking is readily available.
I bill insurance directly and am on the provider panels of many insurance companies; for example, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Encore, First Health/Coventry, Humana, and Medicare. If I am on your insurance's provider panel, you pay your copay or percentage, after the deductible. If you do not have insurance or prefer not to use it, I may qualify as an out-of-network provider, which gives you some coverage.
In the interest of maximum privacy protection and efficiency, I prefer a telephone call to my office(317-872-4158) to set up appointments and deal with clinical issues after treatment has begun. Office hours are: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 10 AM to 4 PM, Thursday 10:30 to 4:30 PM, and Friday 10 AM to 1 PM. The office is closed on weekends.
If you value experience and think you would want to work with me, please give me a call. I hope to hear from you soon.
